Bonita Bay Condos & Homes & Vacation Rentals

Bonita Bay, as it is now, was envisioned by the Shakarian Family, who founded the General Nutrition Centers. In the 1980s, they purchased 2,400 acre parcel of land. Although the founder died, his family still owns and runs the Bonita Bay Properties Inc.
Bonita Bay, following the original conception, was designed for harmonious interaction between community and natural ecosystem. Landscape is impeccably kempt and is maintained with an artist's eye in mind, so there all condos and vacation home rentals were built in harmony with the nature. And with the community's approval.
Neighboring Bonita Bay are Imperial River, Spring Creek, Estero Bay, and Highway 41. Estero Bay Park, a Caloosa Native American Site, and Bonita Bay Beach Park, are three major parks. Estero Bay Park has curving trails through woods, a 1,000 foot long boardwalk, a screened-in pavilion, a playground and grills, ideal for community get-togethers.
50,000 visitors come to Bonita Bay Beach Park each year to enjoy the lush, native plants. The clubhouse is by far the place to be. Ninety hole golf courses can lose you for days on end. For the novice or competitor, eighteen Har-Tu tennis courts keep your days solid. Instructors are around to give lessons and pointers. Laps at the swimming pool, fitness room, and spa round out your time at the clubhouse. To top it off, delicacies and wine in the formal dining room, or lighter meals in casual room satiate the tuckered body and please the tongue.
The award-winning Old Fashioned Social is an event begun by the residents. The Promenade is another event, where arts, crafts, foods, and live music bring together the community. More events include: Bay Breeze Concert Series, the Fall Harvest Festival, the Easter Egg Hunt, and the Christmas Tree Lighting.
Condos, homes, other vacation rentals, restaurants and shopping are few within Bonita Bay, so more than likely you'll want to travel outside the community to find more. By the same token, you may never need to leave for all of your sporting pleasures: golf, tennis, boating, fishing, jogging, bicycling, and more.
Bonita Bay is a self-sufficient community in Bonita Springs. It is where blue herons and bald eagles fly around the bay. It is where flora, fauna, and community never impose but live in harmony. It is where you retire if retiring means the beginning of a new life. It is where you spend a vacation to escape the hurried world and launch into the greater Bonita Springs area.
